Lead QA Engineer
Description:
Reporting directly to the VP Engineering, this role needs to meet the following criteria:
Requirement Skills:
- 5+ Years overall QA/QE experience, at least 2 in a pre-IPO start-up
- Strong hands on skills in Linux dev/build/test environments including shell scripting, ANT, CVS/SVN, Bugzilla/JIRA and Java programming
- Experience testing complex Web applications and infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including isolating bugs in complex code
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven - must be able to think independently and take initiative to make the project succeed
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required; must be able to represent overall product quality to customers, both internal and external
Desired Skills:
- Experience with standards based (POP/IMAP, SMTP, DNS) email/messaging applications
- Experience writing, executing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts
- RDBMS Experience (MySQL preferred)
- Load and performance testing experience
- Experience with outsourced/offshore QA teams
- BS or MS in Computer Science preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the testing strategy and execution for Everyone.Net products
- Review, create, execute and maintain test plans and test cases for all supported applications - manual and automated
- Assist Engineering in the planning, scheduling and execution of tasks to meet milestones throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide accurate and feasible work estimates for product testing tasks
- Conduct Functional, Regression, Performance/Benchmarking, Stress/Load tests, and document defects
- Execute, maintain and expand automated test framework and test cases for current production applications
- Collaborate with the development team on test tool development, performance optimization, debugging and problem isolation
- Work with software engineers to define and implement QA and unit test plans, including dependency analysis, code coverage and use cases
- Train and mentor other QA Engineers
- Improve software quality through testing and advocacy, with a constant focus on the customer experience
- Advocate and drive QA initiatives in the development process. Work with managers and engineers to improve overall product quality from the end user's perspective

Senior Java Developer
Description:
As a senior member of the Everyone.net product development team, you will help advance our hosted email application, which currently provides mission critical messaging for several million users. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, ability to own and deliver projects, and a proven track record with web application development.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of objected-oriented programming experience
- 3+ year of object-oriented design - candidates MUST be strong in this area
- Fluent in Java - intimate knowledge of java class libraries
- Proficient with server-side technologies including multi-threading, transactions, servlets, JSPs, socket programming
- Solid knowledge of web-based rich user interface technologies (AJAX, Flash/Flex, JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
- Experience with using JSON/XMLHttpRequest in a framework desirable
- Working knowledge of Perl and MySQL
- Email-specific domain knowledge highly desirable (SMTP, IMAP, MAPI, Spam filtering)
- Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and work quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Driven self-starter and a team player
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- US work-authorized candidates only
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software components for hosted email applications
- Document and communicate designs using UML, architecture papers, and presentations to team
- Mentor other team members
- Lead and contribute to design and code reviews
- Assist with testing when necessary
